Language needs infrastructure
Each workstream answers a practical need: shared conventions, usable vocabulary, citable reference works, and paths to learning.
Standardization
Coherence across spelling, grammar, and use
Shared spelling and grammar allow everyone to work from the same reference points.
CLI reviews evidence from scholarship and community use to establish recommendations for orthography, grammar, and usage. Each decision is documented.

Lexicon
A living language requires a modern lexicon
CLI develops and documents terminology so Cham can describe contemporary subjects with precision. The lexicon connects language with the demands of specialized fields and modern life.
Entries are evaluated against recognized Cham scholarship and approved through CLI's review process. Sources and decisions are recorded so each entry can be traced and updated.

The CLI Translation and Dictionary System brings Cham, Khmer, Vietnamese, Malay, and English into a central reference platform for vocabulary, spelling, pronunciation, usage, and translation.
The program creates and formalizes vocabulary for contemporary fields so Cham can operate wherever new knowledge demands precise language.
Publications
An official record of language development
CLI publications preserve reviewed scholarship and language decisions as citable records. Sources and decisions are documented so readers can evaluate the work and later contributors can add to it.
Instruction
