1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored through a web browser. They can help a website function, preserve a visitor's choices, protect transactions, or measure website use. Similar technologies may perform related functions. This Policy refers to those technologies collectively as cookies.
2. How CLI uses cookies
Cham Language Institute ("CLI," "we," "our," or "us") uses a limited cookie configuration to:
- Deliver and protect the website.
- Remember a visitor's Analytics choice.
- Measure aggregate website use through Google Analytics 4 under the regional default or the visitor's stored choice.
- Support a secure payment service if online contributions are enabled and a visitor enters that service.
CLI does not use Google Ads, behavioral advertising, advertising personalization, or marketing pixels. CLI does not sell personal information or disclose it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
3. Essential cookies
Essential storage supports website delivery, security, and choices requested by the visitor. CLI uses a first-party cookie named cli_analytics_consent_v1 to remember whether Analytics was accepted or declined. It stores only the value granted or denied, remains for up to 180 days, and is not saved to a CLI visitor database.
Website infrastructure or a future payment service may also use essential storage to detect misuse, prevent fraud, maintain forms, or complete a transaction. Essential storage operates independently of Analytics consent when it is needed to provide the requested function.
4. Analytics cookies
CLI uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate website traffic and improve its public information. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, Analytics storage is denied unless the visitor accepts Analytics. Elsewhere, Analytics is enabled by default. Any visitor may change this setting through Privacy Choices in the footer.
When Analytics storage is granted, Google Analytics may set the following standard first-party cookies:

Actual duration may be shorter because of browser controls, deletion by the visitor, or CLI's Analytics configuration. When Analytics storage is denied, Google tags may send limited consent and measurement signals without writing or reading Analytics cookies. CLI does not send names, email addresses, form contents, or payment details to Google Analytics. Google explains its practices in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
5. Payment services
When online contributions are available, CLI may offer payment processing through services such as Stripe and Chase QuickAccept. A payment service may use cookies or similar technologies to process payments, authenticate transactions, prevent fraud, and protect transaction security. Information handled through that service is governed by its own terms, privacy notice, and cookie practices.
Visitors do not need to use a payment service to access CLI's public pages. Payment-card information is submitted directly to the selected payment service, and CLI does not receive or store complete payment-card numbers. CLI may receive transaction records and limited payment information needed for acknowledgments, accounting, refunds, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
6. Your choices
Privacy Choices
Use Privacy Choices in the global footer to accept or decline Analytics. Your selection applies to the browser in which it is made and remains for up to 180 days unless the cookie is deleted. Declining Analytics does not limit access to CLI's public content.
Browser controls
Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies. Browser settings operate separately from CLI's control. Blocking all cookies may prevent the website from remembering your choice or affect a service that depends on essential storage.
Privacy signals
CLI does not sell personal information or use cross-context behavioral advertising. Privacy Choices is the website control for Analytics storage.
7. Changes to this Policy
CLI may update this Cookie Policy when website functionality, service providers, cookie durations, consent controls, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
