1. Commitment
Cham Language Institute ("CLI") is committed to making its public information, institutional resources, forms, and online services accessible to people with disabilities. Accessibility supports CLI's responsibility to serve a global community and make scholarship concerning the Cham language available as broadly as possible.
CLI considers accessibility in website design, content, navigation, documents, and services within its control.
2. Standard and current status
CLI uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA as a reference for evaluating and improving this website. WCAG addresses whether digital content is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust.
This Statement is not a claim that every page, document, or third-party feature fully conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Accessibility can vary by content, browser, device, assistive technology, and services outside CLI's control.
3. Accessibility measures
The website includes measures intended to support accessible use, including:
- Logical headings, page structure, landmarks, and descriptive link text.
- Keyboard access and visible focus indicators for interactive controls.
- Text contrast and information that does not rely on color alone.
- Responsive layouts that support zoom, text enlargement, and reflow.
- Alternative text or equivalent descriptions for meaningful images where available.
- Labels and instructions for forms.
- A skip link that allows keyboard users to move directly to main content.
4. Evaluation and improvement
CLI uses available automated checks, manual review, and visitor feedback to identify accessibility barriers. Manual review may include keyboard navigation, focus visibility, headings, link purpose, contrast, zoom, reflow, and form operation.
Automated tools can identify some technical issues but cannot establish accessibility by themselves. CLI considers the practical effect of a barrier when deciding how to correct it or provide another means of access.
5. Compatibility and technical specifications
The website is designed for current versions of major browsers and common assistive technologies supported by those browsers. Access may vary with older browsers, unsupported operating systems, extensions, or combinations of technology that no longer receive updates.
The website relies on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and, where appropriate, WAI-ARIA. These technologies support presentation, navigation, forms, menus, and accessibility information.
6. Documents and third-party content
CLI may publish downloadable documents or link to third-party services, scholarly repositories, institutional websites, and media platforms. CLI does not control the accessibility of every external system or document.
If a third-party interface or document prevents access to CLI information or an institutional process, contact CLI for assistance or an alternative. You do not need to disclose a disability to request assistance.
7. Feedback and assistance

CLI will review the report and, where reasonably possible, correct the barrier or provide another way to access the relevant information or service.
8. Statement maintenance and contact
CLI may update this Accessibility Statement as the website changes, significant barriers are identified, or relevant standards develop. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
